Art Exploration is a series of mixed media workshops that are suitable for all levels of experience!
Each week Alison will lead through presentations and prompts with emphasis on designing and painting abstracted artworks on canvas. New concepts and techniques will be added weekly.
Please note: To attend each class, pre-registration is required. Classes will cap at 10 participants.

About the Class:
This week will focus on creating a painting with mark-making and abstraction techniques. By using a wide variety of materials like oil pastels, markers, pencils and paints, we will first practice different mark-making on paper. Unique marks can be made with each, and expanded on with more unusual tools such as bubble wrap, sponges, wax paper, and even sticks. After the experimentation, mark-making will then be used on the canvas to design and create an abstract painting.
