Child’s Play with Janet Taylor (12:00pm-2:30pm)
We often use the phrase "child's play" in a derogatory way, but the intention of this workshop is to reenter play as a child does. A child is curious, spontaneous, open, and lighthearted when they play. Our time together will incorporate games and activities that allow us to experience and remember the joy of play.
Facilitator Bio: This series will be led by Janet Taylor who has made serving and creating a priority in her life. From 2009 to 2011 she served as an Americorps volunteer and created the I Am Home Art Project which provided an opportunity for the homeless to create and sell their art. This was such a rewarding experience to her and the homeless that she later decided to move to Asheville and found the nonprofit, I Am Home Art Community.
