About the event

It has become easier to learn about Buddhism and advance your practice using the resources on the internet. Wikipedia alone is a great help. Various translations of Suttas, along with some comment on them, are readily available. Audio Dharma can be particularly useful and comparatively easier. Helpful websites and apps for sutta study, support for practice, Dharma Talks, Teachers and Sangha’s websites will be introduced, as well as brief summaries of the most popular books and introductions to the main Buddhist authors.


David Dixon has been a practicing lay Buddhist since 2000 and will be sharing his experiences with Buddhist practice, emphasizing how meditation works within the context of the Noble Eightfold Path. His practice began at Buddhadharma Meditation Center in Chicago--Thai Forest, Buddhadāsa.
